The TMS Shop

At the front of the premises we have a shop where we make items available to the local community

Stock comes from people in the community who kindly donate unwanted items.

You name it , we’ve received it. Unfortunately due to the ever more constraining laws regarding disposal of rubbish we’ve had to limit ourselves to only accepting items in reasonable condition.

Once received, we process them in one of our workshops. They’ll be refurbished, checked and tested to ensure they are safe to use.

When we’re happy, they’ll go into the shop and will be made available to the community again at a recommended donation.

We also offer a repair service to the community that covers just about everything from gardening, electronics and electrical , furniture or mechanical items. We also repair bicycles.

Just drop in on a Tuesday or Thursday or ring to inquire.

As we’re currently an Unincorporated Association (Google it if you’re bored) we price them as a “suggested donation”.

This means that we just cover our costs to run the Thornbury Mens Shed. We don’t make a profit and any surplus is fed back into the community – for example we plan to help with the refurbishment of the Cossham Hall in Thornbury by paying for a Fire Door.
